Description

Eremiothrips similis Bhatti

This species was described originally from one female and two males from Iraq (Bhatti 1988), but was subsequently redescribed by Bhatti (2009). Moreover, Ramezani et al. (2009) recorded large numbers of both sexes from cereal crops in Khuzestan province, south of Iran.

Material studied. Iran, Fars province, Shiraz, 3 females, 1 male from Polygonum aviculare, 12.xiii.2011 (KM508).
