Type host. Mirounga leonina (Linnaeus, 1758) —Southern elephant seal.

Type locality. Kerguelen Islands, Indian Ocean.

Type specimen/s data. Syntypes Ƥ; repository unknown (Barker 1996: 237).

Geographic distribution. Antarctica and Southern Oceans.
