2. Stigmella confusella (Wood & Walsingham, 1894) (new to the Crimea)
(Fig. 8)
Host-plants. Betula pendula Roth in the Crimea; in other regions also other species of Betula.
Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Nemoral; the species occurs from Ireland and Karelia (NW Russia) to Bulgaria and Ukraine (Crimea).
Material examined. CRIMEA: 49 km S Simferopol, Alushta, empty leaf-mines on Betula pendula Roth, fieldwork card no. 5064, 08.viii.2011, leg. A. Navickaitė.
Remarks. The species is very rare in the Crimea: highly limited in distribution and sporadic.
