Distribution. Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu), Russia (Primorye, Sakhalin).

Remarks. This species is considered to be closely related to gansuana, nodai, pallescens, virgata, yakushimensis and yamatoensis in having the overhang, the strip of minutely papillate cuticle and the membranous pad on the mesal surface of the paramere and the teeth on the ventro-apical corner of digitus. Thus, these seven species belong to the virgata group.

This is the first record of comitor from Japan.
