Description

Psallus (Pityopsallus) laricinus Vinokurov, 1998

Siberian taiga species, distributed in Eastern Siberia and the Russian Far East, Altai, and northern Mongolia. Eastern vicarial of European species Psallus lapponicus Reuter, 1878. Host plant – various species of larch. In the Mongolian Altai, the species was collected in a small larch forest growing on a shadow steep slope. New record for China.

Material examined. 1 ♂, 1 ♀, Altai, Daqinggeli R., 20 km N of Qinghe (46°52'N; 90°20'E), 1400–1600 m 27.VI.2011 (N. Vinokurov).
