Ecology. Shelf species (Peña Cantero et al. 1997), found at depths between 256 (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 1996) and 400 m (Peña Cantero et al. 1997) on muddy bottoms (Totton 1930).
Distribution. Circum-Antarctic (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004). East Antarctica: McMurdo Sound, Ross Sea (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 1996). West Antarctica: east coast of the Weddell Sea (Peña Cantero et al. 1997).
