Anthomyza tenera Zetterstedt, 1838: 697.

Pegomya tenera (Zetterstedt). Michelsen 1985: 57, figs 1‒6. Ståhls et al. 1989: 105.

Description. Very similar to P. zonata but different as follows: Size. Smaller, wing length 5.0‒5.4 mm (n=6). Male. Palp more extensively darkened on distal half. Yellow mid and hind femora more conspicuously darkened on apical quarter to apical third. Terminalia (Figs 29, 38, 47, 56): Sternite V with downward projecting inner lamella smaller; surstyli less angular and apically slenderer in profile view; postgonite with anterior expansion lying immediately distal to insertion of enlarged seta, not on distal quarter as seen in P. zonata; epiphallus without peculiar basal expansion seen in P. zonata. Female. Scape and pedicel fuscous ochre brown. Palp yellow basally, dark on distal half. All femora dorsally on distal fifth with a distinct dark mark. Oviscapt shorter and with bigger sternite VIII pieces, in good agreement with description given for P. scapularis.
