Etymology. The specific name is a noun and refers to the type locality.
Diagnosis. Males of N. croix sp. nov. resemble those of N. bermudezi sp. nov., N. mammee sp. nov. and N. ouali sp. nov (Figs 27, 109, 124) by the TBE bifid, with two elongate branches, the main branch longer than secondary branch (Figs 50, 52). They are distinguished from these species by the TBC long and slender, almost three times longer than wide (Fig. 50). Females are unknown.

Palp: VTA squared, displaced retrolaterally; dRTA triangular in retrolateral view; vRTA developed as small bump at base of dRTA; median apophysis arising from tegulum at 2:30 o’clock position; conductor distally widened; embolus filiform, arising from tegulum at 8 o’clock position (Figs 49−52).
Female: unknown.
Distribution. Only known from the type locality, St. Croix Island (Map 4).
Remarks. Neostasina croix sp. nov. is known solely from a male from the Island of St. Croix. Neostasina saetosa comb. nov. also occurs on the island and is known solely from females. Nevertheless, we prefer to maintain them as separate species due to differences in size (N. saetosa comb. nov. is significantly larger than N. croix sp. nov.) and coloration pattern (spots in N. saetosa comb. nov. and lines and stripes in N. croix sp. nov.).
