Eustala tristis Roewer, 1942
Epeira tristis Blackwall, 1862: 436. Female holotype from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, J. Gray, Esq. & Rev. H. Clark (presumably lost, not examined).
Araneus tristis; Petrunkevitch, 1911: 321.
Eustala tristis; Roewer, 1942: 767; WSC 2017.
Note. Blackwall (1862) did not provide illustrations and the description are not accurate enough to identify the species. Type material was not found in BMNH, MNRJ, or OUMNH. Therefore, it is considered a nomen dubium.
