Montana helleri Ciplak & Taylan 2006

Description

Montana helleri (Çiplak & Taylan, 2006) — Fig. 7 K.

Locality: Turkey, Erzincan, Erzincan-Kelkit route, Pöske dagi (Esence daglari), N 39°53', E 39°21', 2104 m a.s.l., 28.vii.2005 (Ciplak et al. 2006).

In the calling song of M. helleri, echemes with duration of 0.1 to 1.5 s are produced with intervals of about 2 s (Ciplak et al. 2006). The echemes contain 3–7 (rarely 2–8) syllables with a few microsyllables at the beginning (Fig. 7 K). The syllable repetition rate of the macrosyllables is about 6 Hz, distinctly lower than in the other Montana species mentioned above.
