Elachista squamosella (Duponchel, 1843)
Material examined. KABARDINO-BALKARIYA: 1♂, P.[OSELOK] (VILLAGE) VERKHNYAYA BALKARIYA, 25.VII.1992, TIKHONOV leg. Gen. prep. VS340; 1♂, Zapovednik (Nature Reserve) Bezengi, 08.vi.1990, Zagulyaev leg. Gen. prep. VS341; 1♀, ARMENIYA (ARMENIA), KHOSROVSKII ZAP.[OVEDNIK] (NATURE RESERVE), VEDIYSKII UCH.[ASTOK], H=1300 M, 02.VI.1982, M. NESTEROV LEG. GEN. PREP. VS344 (ZIN).
Distribution. OCCURS IN EUROPE (EXCEPT NORTHERN PART), INCLUDING SOUTHERN URAL MOUNTAINS (KAILA et al. 2003). ALSO KNOWN fROM TURKMENISTAN (DIšKUS et al. 1994).
Remarks. THIS SPECIES IS NEW TO CAUCASUS.
