Philocheras yaldwyni

Description

* Philocheras yaldwyni (Zarenkov, 1968)

Sparsely recorded in New Zealand from Northland to southern Fiordland, 50– 335 m. Komai (2008) considers the species to occur in the Southern Ocean, based on Zarenkov’s (1968) type locality. However, that record is only marginally south of the southwestern tip of New Zealand (46°10'S, 166°01'E).
