Description

Notonecta glauca glauca Linnaeus, 1758 *

Material examined. Barrage Za, 19.0 3.14, 1 f; Amont Taourirt, 0 3.0 4.14, 1 m; Sources O. El Bared, 27.0 3.14, 1 m, 2 ff; Douar Ifrane, 23.0 3.14, m, 3 jj.

Distribution. Western Palearctic species. In Morocco, presently this species seems mainly confined to the extreme north (L’Mohdi 2016). This is a new taxon for the Moulouya River basin and the Oriental Region. During the study period, N. glauca was found downstream in Oued Za and upstream in Oued Melloulou (Fig. 7).
