Genus Parmaphorella Strebel, 1907

Type species: Tugalia antarctica Strebel, 1907 (non Melvill & Standen, 1907) (M)

Remarks. Wenz (1938) erroneously considered Parmaphorella Strebel, 1907 preoccupied by Parmophorella Mathews, 1886, consequently proposing Parmophoridea as a replacement name for the former. This name was subsequently employed by several authors. However, and taking into account the differences in spelling of Parmaphorella and Parmophorella, such replacement is unnecessary (WoRMS Editorial board 2017).
