Type locality: Thailand, Nan, Ban Huai Kon.
Anthaxia (Merocratus) karati: Bellamy, 2008: 1412 (catalogue).
Described for the single male from northern Thailand. Recently collected in India: Aruchanal Pradesh, Brahmakund env., 27°87‘N 96°35‘E, 350–600 m, J. Horák leg. (1 male).
Distribution. Thailand, India (new country record).
