The cyclopeptide alkaloids, mauritine-K and sativanine-K have been isolated from the root bark of Zizyphus mauritiana and their structures established by spectral and chemical evidences. Mauritine-K is a new cyclopeptide alkaloid and sativanine-K is the first report from Z. mauritiana. Mauritine-K exhibited significant antifungal activity.
