Liparidae

Description

Unidentified Liparidae.

Lundsten et al. (2009) report observations of a black-headed snailfish in deep waters off central California. This specimen is listed as Liparidae sp. 2 in Jacobsen Stout et al. (2016) and was seen in 2,150 –3,977 m (7,052 –13,045 ft) (Jacobsen Stout et al. 2016).
