Caulophryne pelagica

Description

Caulophryne pelagica (Brauer, 1902).

To 18.3 cm (7.2 in) SL (Pietsch 2009). Circumglobal; western Pacific Ocean north to Japan (Nakabo in Nakabo 2002) and Russian north-western Pacific (Orlov and Tokranov 2019); Gulf of Alaska, Isla Guadalupe, central Baja California, Panama, and Ecuador (Pietsch 2009). Depth: 500–3,500 m (1,640 –11,480 ft) (min.: Nakabo in Nakabo 2002; max.: Robertson et al. 2017).
