* Porichthys ephippiatus Walker & Rosenblatt, 1988.
Saddle Midshipman. To 13.5 cm (5.3 in) TL (Robertson and Allen 2002). Cabo San Lucas, southern Baja California (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California), slightly into Gulf of California (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California), and Pacific coast of Mexico to Guatemala (Robertson and Allen 2002). Depth: 15–242 m (50–794 ft) (Walker and Rosenblatt 1988).
