Description
Diaphus pacificus Parr, 1931.
To 4.4 cm (1.7 in) SL (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Central California (34°34’N, 122°20’W) (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California) to Peru (Fricke et al. 2020), including Gulf of California (Galván-Magaña et al. 1996). Epipelagic and mesopelagic (Moser and Ahlstrom in Moser 1996); depth: 17–1,314 m (56–4,310 ft) (Castellanos-Galindo et al. 2006b).
