To 12.7 cm (5 in) SL (Kamikawa 2017). Atlantic and Pacific Oceans; Santa Catalina Basin, southern California (Kamikawa 2017) to Chile (Pequeño 1989). Depth: surface to 3,294 m (10,804 ft) (Kamikawa 2017).
