Distribution: Global: Northeastern North America; from the Kuskokwim River drainage, Alaska, to the Otay River drainage, California, USA; introduced throughout North America; Costa Rica: Pa (Atlantic) and Pi (Pacific), 654–2202 m.a.s.l., Per, Dia.
Occurrence and conservation status: Exo, NE.
