Diaphus rafinesquii
Description
? Diaphus rafinesquii (Cocco, 1838).
Indo-Pacific; southern California (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Diaphus rafinesquii is part of a species complex that includes Diaphus fulgens (Brauer, 1904) and thus records of the two species from our range require additional research (Benjamin Frable).
