Myrophis vafer Jordan & Gilbert, 1883.
Pacific Worm Eel. To 47 cm (18.5 in) TL (Robertson and Allen 2002). San Pedro, southern California (Miller and Lea 1972) to Punta Aguja, Peru (Chirichigno and Vélez 1998), including Gulf of California (McCosker and Rosenblatt in Fischer et al. 1995). Benthic; depth: surface (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California), intertidal to 46 m (151 ft) (min: Robertson and Allen 2002; max: Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California).
