Description
* Muraena clepsydra Gilbert, 1898.
Hourglass Moray. To about 120 cm (47.2 in) TL (Jiménez Prado and Béarez 2004). Cabo San Lucas, southern Baja California (McCosker and Rosenblatt in Fischer et al. 1995) to northern Peru (Chirichigno and Vélez 1998), including lower Gulf of California (McCosker and Rosenblatt in Fischer et al. 1995) and Islas Galápagos (Grove and Lavenberg 1997). Benthic; depth: intertidal to 25 m (83 ft) (min.: Thomson et al. 1979; max.: Robertson and Allen 2002).
