Albula gilberti Pfeiler & van der Heiden, 2011.

Cortez Bonefish. To about 41.2 cm (16.2 in) TL (John Snow, pers. comm. to M.L.). San Francisco, northern California, along west coast of Baja California, and into the Gulf of California (Pfeiler et al. 2011) to Acapulco, Mexico (Palacios-Salgado et al. 2014). Depth: intertidal to perhaps 27 m (89 ft) (Pfeiler et al. 2011). Previously referred to as Albula vulpes (Linneus, 1758) and “ Albula sp. A ” (Pfeiler et al. 2011).
