Pseudocarcharias kamoharai
Description
* Pseudocarcharias kamoharai (Matsubara, 1936).
Crocodile Shark. To at least 122 cm (48 in) TL (Ebert et al. 2013). Circumglobal; western Pacific Ocean north to southern Japan (Yoshino and Aonuma in Nakabo 2002); two records within our range, about 200 km off Punta Eugenia, southern Baja California (26°52’N, 116°59’W) (Ruiz-Campos et al. 2010), and further southward 960 km off southern Baja California (25°40’N, 129°00’W) (Long and Seigel 1997); Colombia – Chile (Ebert 2016). Depth: surface to 1,740 m (5,707 ft) (Pradeep et al. 2017).
