Interactive geology differentiation and 3D visualization of geological units
Description
The script GeologyDifferentiation.py allows users to interactively classify the inverted physical property values into distinct classes by creating polygons using mouse clicks. Each class is considered as a unique geological unit defined by distinct ranges of physical property values. Each geological unit is then visualized in 3D using open source packages PyVista (Sullivan et al., 2019) and pyGeo (Kenway et al., 2010). Using this software, one can reproduce the geology differentiation results in Wei and Sun (2022). The jointly inverted density and susceptibility models in Fig. 4 of Wei and Sun (2022) are also provided here as an example.
