Type host: Phalcoboenus australis (Gmelin, 1788).

Chilean locality: Isla Gonzalo (Diego Ramírez Islands): Region XII.
Geographic distribution: Falkland Islands, Tierra del Fuego and surrounding islands.

Remarks: This is the first record of Colpocephalum strangei from Chile, based on two samples from Phalcoboenus australis held in MONZ.
