FIGURE 3. Digital illustrations of male timbal (above) and pygofer (below) from a specimen of Ewartia oldfieldi (Distant) taken at Carina Heights (27°30'S 153°06'E). The right timbal is illustrated with anterior margin at top and dorsal edge on right. Abbreviations are: LR = long rib; SR = short (intercalary) rib; TP = timbal plate. Long ribs are numbered 1 to 5. The pygofer and genitalia morphology are illustrated with a lateral view (viewed from left side) provided on the left and a ventral view shown on the right. Abbreviations are: AED = aedeagus; AS = anal styles; AT = anal tube; BL = basal lobe of pygofer; BP= bp basal plate; CL = clasper; DB = dorsal beak; END = endotheca; MDL = median lobe of uncus; PSP = pseudoparamere; TH = theca; UPL = upper lobe of pygofer; VS = ventral support. Scale bar represents 1 mm.
