Material examined: ESFM – SIP /98–29, K3, Karpas Cape, 18 July 1998, 10 m, on Posidonia oceanica, 1 specimen.

Remarks: Body cylindrical; skin smooth, translucent. Caudal end pointed. Trunk 4.8 mm long, 1 mm wide. Introvert 4.2 mm long, 0.6 mm wide, shorter than trunk. Trunk 1.14 times introvert length. Both ends of trunk with dark brown papillae. Papillae on base of introvert 29–40 µm height, 20–23 µm in diameter. Papillae on caudal end of trunk 28–38 µm in length, 18–20 µm in diameter. Introvert with scattered hooks; 45–65 µm in height. Intestinal spiral with 15 coils, attached to rectum. Rectal caecum hidden under intestine coils. Two eye spots present; reddish black in colour. Tentacles numerous. Four retractor muscles. Nephridia pear­shaped; 0.55 mm height (trunk 8.7 times nephridia length), 0.2 mm wide. Skin surface covered by pear, finger­shaped papillae. The mid­trunk with small, spare papillae; 9–12 µm in diameter.

Distribution: Common in shallow waters from the northeast Atlantic Ocean, northwest Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Mediterranean Sea (Saiz Salinas 1993a). Depth range: 0–6000 m (Murina 1984).
