Somniosus rostratus (Risso, 1827)

Scymnus rostratus Risso, 1827: 138, Pl. 3, fig. 7. Type locality: Nice, Mediterranean coast of France. Somniosus rostratus, Golani, 1987: 28, 29; Pisanty & Golani, 1995: 389.

Distribution. Northeast Atlantic, Mediterranean; depth range 200–1000 m. In the Levant the maximum known depth is 1330 m (Golani, 1987).
