Strigamia walkeri Wood 1865

Description

Strigamia walkeri Wood, 1865 *

References for morphology: Wood 1865.

Taxonomic notes. Described originally as a species of Strigamia, it was not recorded further but only cited variously under Linotaenia, Scolioplanes or Tomotaenia. Following an unpublished opinion by Crabill, Mercurio (2010) synonymized it tentatively under S. bidens. It is maintained here as valid only provisionally, because the original description is very vague, so that the true identity of this species remains uncertain.

Distribution: known from a single locality in western Pennsylvania.
