Inopsetta ischyra

Description

Inopsetta ischyra (Jordan and Gilbert, 1880).

Hybrid Sole or Forkline Sole. To 46 cm (18.1 in) TL (Kramer et al. 1995). Likely at least southern British Columbia to San Francisco, California. Alaska records are without documentation (Garrett et al. 2007). Benthic; depth: perhaps 5–50 m (15–164 ft) (min.: Personal communication: University of Washington, Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture Fish Collection, Seattle, Washington; max: Personal communication: University of Washington, Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture Fish Collection, Seattle, Washington). A hybrid of Parophry vetulus Girard, 1854 and Platichthys stellatus (Pallas, 1787).
