Cryptacanthodes giganteus

Description

Cryptacanthodes giganteus (Kittlitz, 1858).

Giant Wrymouth. To 123 cm (48.4 in) TL (Pietsch and Orr 2019). South-eastern Bering Sea, and eastern Aleutian Islands from Unalaska Island (Mecklenburg et al. 2002), to Humboldt Bay, northern California (Miller and Lea 1972). Benthic; depth: 6–331 m (20–1,086 ft) (min.: Miller and Lea 1972; max.: Personal communication: University of Washington, Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture Fish Collection, Seattle, Washington).
