Phytichthys chirus
Description
Phytichthys chirus (Jordan & Gilbert, 1880).
Ribbon Prickleback. To 21.1 cm (8.3 in) TL (Mecklenburg et a. 2002). Amchitka Island, Aleutian Islands (Personal communication: University of Washington, Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture Fish Collection, Seattle, Washington), and Gulf of Alaska coasts to southern California (Mecklenburg et al. 2002). Benthic; depth: intertidal to 12 m (39 ft) (Mecklenburg et al. 2002).
