Description
Chirolophis nugator (Jordan & Williams, 1895).
Mosshead Warbonnet. To more than 14.6 cm (5.8 in) TL (Peden and Wilson 1976). Western Aleutian Islands, Alaska (Mecklenburg et al. 2002) to San Nicolas Island (33°14’N, 119°38’W), southern California (Christopher Grossman, pers. comm. to M.L.). Benthic; depth: intertidal to 80 m (262 ft) (min.: Miller and Lea 1972; max.: Pietsch and Orr 2019).
