Description

Gyrinichthys minytremus Gilbert, 1896.

Minigill Snailfish. Known from three specimens (James Orr). To 7.2 cm (2.8 in) TL (Mecklenburg et al. 2002). Bering Sea north of Unalaska Island (Mecklenburg et al. 2002) and near Aleutian Islands (about 52°02’N, 176°22’W) (Maslenikov et al. 2013, James Orr). Depth: 344–640 m (1,128 –2,100 ft). (min.: Maslenikov et al. 2013; max.: Mecklenburg et al. 2002).
