Ruscarius creaseri (Hubbs, 1926).

Roughcheek Sculpin. To 7.7 cm (3 in) TL (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Monterey Bay, central California (Personal communication: California Academy of Sciences Fish Collection, San Francisco, California) to Punta San Pablo, southern Baja California (Miller and Lea 1972), Islas San Benito (Personal communication: Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Fish Collection, Los Angeles, California), and Isla de Cedros (Personal communication: Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Fish Collection, Los Angeles, California), central Baja California. Benthic; depth: intertidal to 37 m (120 ft) (min.: Miller and Lea 1972; max.: Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Originally named and still sometimes seen as Artedius creaseri (Hubbs, 1926).
