Cultural Heritage as a Tourist and Excursion Resource: Main Categories and Classification Features

The article deals with the main categories of cultural heritage in the context of its use in the tourism industry. Also, different approaches of scientists to the classification of cultural heritage as a tourist resource are analyzed. The main features that are used in these classifications are highlighted: levels of involvement of cultural heritage objects in tourism and sightseeing activities, its role in the cultural life of the society, features of its territorial organization, etc.
