Description
Prionotus stephanophrys Lockington, 1881.
Lumptail Searobin. To 43 cm (16.9 in) TL (Robertson and Allen 2002). La Perouse Bank, British Columbia (Gavin Hanke, pers. comm. to M.L.) to Chile (Pequeño 1989), including Gulf of California (Bussing in Fischer et al. 1995). Depth: 2–255 m (7–836 ft) (min.: Love et al. 2005; max.: Robertson and Allen 2002). Prionotus quiescens Jordan & Bollman, 1890, is a junior synonym.
