Prionotus horrens Richardson, 1844.

Bristly Searobin. To 35 cm (13.8 in) TL (Bussing in Fischer et al. 1995). Bahía Magdalena, southern Baja California (Personal communication: Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Fish Collection, Los Angeles, California) to Peru (Bussing in Fischer et al. 1995), including Gulf of California (Robertson and Allen 2002). Depth: 3–105 m (9–344 ft) (min.: Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California; max.: Amezcua Linares 1996).
