Description

Phthanophaneron harveyi (Rosenblatt & Montgomery, 1976).

Panamic Flashlightfish. To 26 cm (10.2 in) TL (Robertson and Allen 2002). Thetis Bank, southern Baja California (McCosker and Rosenblatt 1987); Todos Santos (23°24.6’N, 110°13.8’W), southern Baja California (John Snow, pers. comm. to M.L.); Gulf of California (Rosenblatt and Montgomery 1976). Depth: surface to 105 m (344 ft) (min.: Robertson and Allen 2002; max.: Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California).
