Description

Hirundichthys albimaculatus (Fowler, 1934).

Whitespot Flyingfish. To 24.6 cm (9.7 in) SL (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Western Pacific Ocean north to southern Japan (Aizawa in Nakabo 2002); northern Baja California (30°15’N, 118°12’W) (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California) to Peru (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Depth: at least surface.
