Argyropelecus affinis Garman, 1899.

Slender Hatchetfish. To 9.4 cm (3.7 in) SL (Jesperson 1934). Circum-global; western Pacific Ocean north to Japan (Aizawa in Nakabo 2002); Oregon (Matarese et al. 1989) to northern Chile (Sielfeld et al. 1995). Depth: 50–2,056 m (164–6,744 ft) (min.: Eduardo et al. 2020; max.: Cruz-Acevedo et al. 2018).
