Description
Cyclothone pallida Brauer, 1902.
Tan Bristlemouth. To 7.5 cm (3 in) SL (Mecklenburg et al. 2002). Circumglobal primarily in warm waters; western Pacific Ocean north to Japan (Aizawa in Nakabo 2002), Kuril Islands, and southern Bering Sea (Mecklenburg et al. 2002), to Chile (Pequeño 1989). Primarily mesopelagic and upper bathypelagic (Mecklenburg et al. 2002); depth: near surface to 3,190 m (10,463 ft) (min.: Mecklenburg et al. 2002; max.: Castellanos-Galindo et al. 2006b).
