Pogonichthys macrolepidotus

Description

Pogonichthys macrolepidotus (Ayres, 1854).

Splittail. To 44 cm (17.5 in) TL (Page and Burr 1991). Primarily freshwater habitat, but tolerates brackish conditions. May be found in Suisan and San Pablo bays and Carquinez Straits, northern California and also Central Valley Delta region and Sacramento River, California (Moyle 1976).
