Description
Pliosteostoma lutipinnis
(Jordan & Gilbert, 1882). Yellowfin Herring. To 25 cm (9.8 in) TL (Jiménez Prado and Béarez 2004). Southern Baja California (Whitehead and Rodríguez-Sánchez in Fischer et al. 1995) to Colombia (Allen and Robertson 1994), including Gulf of California (Whitehead and Rodríguez-Sánchez in Fischer et al. 1995). Coastal, including estuaries; depth: to 50 m (164 ft) (Amezcua Linares 1996).
