Heteroconger canabus

Description

* Heteroconger canabus (Cowan & Rosenblatt, 1974).

Cape Garden Eel or White-ring Garden Eel. To about 82 cm (32.3 in) TL (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Southern tip of Baja California and south-western corner of Gulf of California (Robertson and Allen 2015); Costa Rica (Galván-Magaña et al. 1996). Benthic; depth: 3–20 m (10–66 ft) (min.: Robertson and Allen 2002; max.: Smith in Fischer et al. 1995).
