Enhancing AMOC monitoring capacity at OSNAP

Creators

Description

The OSNAP array was deployed in 2014, with the first biogeochemical sensors being added in 2017 as part of ATLAS and subsequently iAtlantic. This talk provides an update to the current state of biogeochemical measurements across the OSNAP array which expanded significantly in 2020. The talk also describes the methodology used to calculate nutrient and carbon transports by the North Atlantic Current and the work undertaken by SAMS over the past year. Finally, example transports through the Rockall Trough are presented.
